the basics:

BW Dokument can be installed in three different Modis:

  - On a PC for private purposes: Usually privately or for small amounts of data. Login possible but not necessary
  - In a corporate network: The database is hosted on a server.
The application can also be installed on a server drive.

  - on a laptop: In order to obtain access to documents and edit documents.

BW Dokument can track and route documents:

  - to employees in the company who have an account on the same database
  - to invited employees who do not have a company account.

make a selection:

  - Server database: If more users are involved in the program.
Enter host name / IP , user name and password (ask the administrator). The administrator must give grant permission for this user to create a new schema in the database or provide the scheme 'bwablage'. If another module of BW - Design is used, specify the .exe

  - embedded database:

when the program is used by you own and on your computer

  - Remote Server:

if you are on the way and want to access your data

database connect:
database: enter IP, user name and password. Then press Checking and saving. At the moment you need a MySql - database from 5.5 and higher

User settings:
Only required with remote server and server - database.
enter server ID, assign user name, insert mailadress and password. Hooking which permissions are desired, then save.
Local employees are inhouse with direct network access server.Recipients can also send/ get documents if they have the rights.

remote employees:
This includes all agents and recipients of documents that do not use their jobs inhouse, but work in foreign companies or by laptop. These employees have access only (limited) , when they are invited. Remote employee registration only assigns rights and accesses

Create / edit User:
With the button 'Global User - Settings' you can view your access and create new users.
Global User - Settings - > remote and foreign employees, which are sitting outside and do not have access to the server.

insert documents :

  - Paste document:

Insert a document or picture from the clipboard by copy / paste
  - Import document: search document on your computer or scan (PDF, documents, invoices, newsletters, etc.. )
  - Storage to operating:

Use the magnifying glass to look for your address and customer data.
there you can determine who is assigned to the document. This specification is mandatory!

Valid formats are: PDF, jpg, jpeg, png, gif, xls, doc, ppt, pcl and odt and also mail datas.

Search of documents
the search filter must be set bBefore the search button is pressed.
address and date assignment, any keywords or a document number can be entered into the search filter
Each filter entry limits the search continues. one entry is least needed. The search process lists all found documents in a table overview.

Each document can be checked in a preview before saving. A stored document can be searched and also viewed in the preview in the Detail. A document can be viewed via the left mouse button in the document viewer. right click select a document for reprocessing. with returning saving document you apply a document history. A document can not be deleted or overwritten.

share Pdf
If a PDF split in several documents , the PDF per pages can be saved as a new document.

Save deposit
The document is stored in the database, the operation / person / address ID and the field description must be filled.
